Started in 1996 in a Montreal basement apartment with very modest means but an ambitious mission, Kama Pigments set out to make raw materials available (especially the dry pigments), as well as the knowledge necessary, to artists to make their own paints and mediums.
Over the years and with the support of its customers and employees, Kama has grown and added many products to its original line of raw materials. By building new relationships with many suppliers from all over the world, we have come to our current catalog featuring more than 2000 unique products.
Today, their selection of raw materials includes dry pigments, resins, natural glues and gums, drying oils, dyes, gold leaf, wax, shellac, binders and even more. They are also proud to be able to provide you with all of the information necessary to get started making paint on your own, completely free of charge.
