One of the oldest cooperatives, Fromage St Albert / St Albert Cheese’ master cheesemakers has been crafting high quality Cheddar since the late 19th century in a charming Eastern Ontario village. Today, while its cheddar is still prized, they make a number of other cheeses too, and their very own cheese curds for that most Canadian of dishes, poutine! A dish that I might add that they serve up in all it’s gooeyness in their restaurant.
